Practice Shoot at Quainton 17th November 2019
The rain held off, muddy underfoot, so all the shooting was from the old rail line. An interesting rabbit was set up on stand 5 which caused some dissent.
A big thank you to Tony and Ann for all the years of supplying us with refreshments and homemade cakes at the shoots. We always appreciate it, especially on the cold wet days. If anyone would like to take on this role or knows anyone who would. Then please let the committee know.

The rain kept away, and we had a varied shoot, with stand 1 being rather on the difficult side, and stand 5, the confidence builder.

Practice Shoot at Quainton 15th September 2019
A very successful shoot at our Quainton shooting ground. So many people out we had to have six squads. Unseasonably warm weather and dry ground.

Return Welsh Shoot
This Sunday was the return leg of the Welsh Shoot. The day started off wet, with almost torrential rain, but as soon as St Brides Major turned up, the tap was turned off and the morning shoot was sunny and hot. Kingswood started the day in the lead, so it was ours to throw away. We didn’t and increased our lead. Let’s not be complacent, this was I believe the first time we have won the match.
The top 9 team members for each team were used for the overall result: Kingswood 554, St Bride Major 502. This gave an overall result of, Kingswood 1016, St Brides Major 955.
Afterwards, we met in the Crown and Tyford for some beers and a Sunday lunch, and then there was a game of Aunt Sally.
