The 5th round of the Sporting Sunday League was hosted by Kingswood on our Quainton ground. The Sunday was a good day for shooting. The early morning mist cleared away in plenty of time for the shoot. All stands operated with out hitch, except for the one stand which was temporarily disabled when a spent cartridge jammed the automatic trap. Despite shooting on our home ground, Kingswood ended up in sixth position.
Roger Phillips Memorial Trophy Shoot
The roger Phillips Memorial Trophy shoot was held at our Quainton ground on a lovely sunny morning on the 21st September. The shoot was set up using the embankment to its best advantage. We shot 3 stands of 10 and moved the cages to allow us to shoot the same stands from a different vantage points. The rabbit stand was definitely a super charged rabbit which bounded high into the air as the trigger was squeezed. One shooter saw their rabbit disappear into an oak tree never to reappear.
The Trophy shoot is a handicap shoot and was won by Steve B, mainly the result of his tactical shooting during the practice shoots.

New Website
I have moved the Kingswood Gun Club website to a new platform based on the blogging software WordPress. I have kept all the work which Steve put into the site and made minimal changes.
The diary is different though, this is now based on the Google Diary, with a cached copy displayed online. Please notify me of updates to the diary which I will add, or maybe I can share the diary with you so you can add entries into it.
I have also added a blog to the site, I hope to add pictures and commentary about shooting events. You can also participate in this either by adding comments to blog posts, or by writing your own posts.
The site is integrated with twitter, so new posts will be tweeted automatically to our many followers.
